So today we have a
little something special for you. By
“we” I mean myself and a few other extremely talented teachers. Eight of us got together and swapped
products.
Why you ask?
We did this to
showcase some very interesting teaching resources in the most practical {and
fun} way – by thinking about how we would use them in our classroom
and what we think makes them awesome resources for our students Let’s face it,
we all teach differently and sometimes we wonder what it would look like if
someone else taught our lessons or used our resources. This is essentially what we have sought to do

I love the Reading Comprehension Learning Mats because it saves on copies and gives students an organized way to show their thoughts about concepts like character. I would use these in a small group to determine comprehension of each concept. We begin our third grade reading instruction with character traits, so I would use the Character map to possibly assess prior knowledge and then to check for understanding.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog hop and link-up combined! :) I looked at the CheezIts activity and the Beginning and Ending Sounds Literacy activities. I did not know there are a b c CheezIts. Very cool! I think if I taught kindergarten I would definitely use these! For my purposes, I would use the beginning and ending sounds for literacy in my class. I teach 5th grade, but nearly all of my students are English Language Learners, with a number of them being brand new to the country. These activities will help them as they learn English.

I enjoyed the blog hop and reading the reviews!!!! I have had my eyes on those Reading Comprehension Learning Mats for some time now. My students have very poor comprehension skills and this would be perfect for them to use in whole/small/individual groups. These ready-made worksheets would help them to put their thoughts on paper and truly develop the necessary skill/concept at hand. This would truly be a great asset to my learners and myself.
